After purchasing the T-SIM package, it is necessary to perform the initial registration (activation) to start communication with the SIM.
First, insert the SIM into the terminal and set the APN.
After completing the APN settings, launch the web browser from the terminal and open the appropriate website. Then, you will be automatically connected to the activation registration page, so select T-SIM and select [Initial activation registration]. On the registration screen, enter the ICCID of the SIM card, the serial number written on the back of the smart pit card, etc. to enable communication.
T-SIM is a SIM card that supports Docomo LTE, so the maximum communication speed is 150 Mbps. But what about actual speeds?
This time, we ran a speed test at lunchtime on Saturdays and Sundays near Akihabara Chuo-dori in Chiyoda Ward, which is rumored to be the most densely populated in Tokyo.
The download speed is slightly slower at less than 2Mbps, but the upload speed exceeds 10Mbps. When I was downloading images, etc., I sometimes felt a little stuck in data communication, but as a feeling of use, I could browse websites and watch videos almost without stress.
In addition, to check how much data communication capacity remains, log in to the management screen and enter the SIM MSN (telephone number) and the smart pit card serial number and ID number from the usage inquiry. increase.
The consumed capacity was not displayed in real time, and there was a slight time lag until it was reflected. Also, the remaining capacity is not an accurate remaining capacity, such as 2GB → 1.97GB → 1.67GB, but it seems that the display is updated when it reaches a certain amount.
Because we used the 2GB plan this time, we were unable to use balance inquiries.
When the capacity is used up, you will be connected to the management screen no matter which web page you access.
By the way, I think it's related to the time lag mentioned above, but even after using up 2GB, communication was possible for a while. The plan this time was 2GB, but it actually stopped when about 2.2GB was communicated. I feel like I got a little bonus. However, it is not always possible to use more than the capacity, so please understand that it is only a reference value.
Here, when you inquire about usage, 0GB is displayed, indicating that the balance has been used up.
Additional charges can be charged at the nearest convenience store. This time, I used the multimedia terminal in the FamilyMart store. After entering the card number of the smart pit card and paying at the cash register, it will be reflected immediately. Please note that in some cases it may take some time for the charge to be reflected.
