Even if you connect an external JIS keyboard to the English keyboard Chromebook, you can input work by registering a keyboard language for US keyboards and JIS keyboards.When working with the built -in keyboard, if you select "English" and "Japanese (US) keyboard" in the US keyboard array in Ctrl+Shift+SP, "Ctrl+SP" will later go back and forth between the keyboard shortcuts.become.Conversely, when working with an external JIS keyboard, if you select "Japanese" and "alphanumeric (Japanese) keyboard", Ctrl+SP will go back and forth between these two keyboard languages.

The check mark on the right side in this flyout is the current keyboard language. Also, if IME selects a valid keyboard language, a switching of input mode will be displayed below. If Mozc is valid, you can select an input mode (input character type) such as "Hiragana" or "Full -width Katakana". By selecting this, the input Roman character is converted according to the input mode. However, Chromebook does not apply to a key division to switch this input mode directly. When the flyout is open, it is possible to select the item in tab/shit+tab sequentially and change it with the Enter key, but it is not possible to change the operation directly to the full -width katakana input mode. Even when Mozc is enabled, it is not possible to apply a key splitting to change the input mode, so it is impossible to select the character type from the keyboard before input, so do the GUI operation here, or Hiragana. When performing a shift lock (Capslock) on Chromebook, use "Alt+Search".However, this key does not become an "alphanumeric" even on the JIS compliant array Chromebook.It has nothing to do with Mozc, but as a key related to character input, the emoticon input panel is opened in "Shift+Search+SP", and the clipboard history is opened in "Search+V".
If you use a lot of control keys with MOZC, replace the "search" key and the "Ctrl" key in the setting → device → keyboard to make your fingering easier.

Here is a File for Mozc's standard key allocation.Of these, "ChromeOS.TSV "," Atok.TSV "," MS-IME.TSV "," KOTOERI.It seems that "TSV" supports "Chrome OS", "Atok", "MS-IME", and "Koneri" in "Select basic settings → key settings" in Mozc settings.That's because I didn't read all the source code, but I just looked at it, and probably just attached it.
This file is a tab -separated file, so you can easily see it with an editor.The contents are tabs separated from Mozc input status, key splitting, and executed Mozc internal commands.The Japanese notation of the internal command is based on the source code, but I changed the notation on my own because there were some things that I felt difficult to understand.For this reason, there is a part that is slightly different from the notation displayed in the Windows version of Google Japanese input dialog.
MOZC is not only developed for Chromebook, but also works on Windows and Android as Google Japanese input.For this reason, the function is equivalent to the IME for Windows.However, Chromebook may not be able to enter the keyed key because it does not have a part of the keyboard that exists on the normal PC keyboard.
For example, if you look at the source code, when the key split is "MS-IME", the "katakana/hiragana" key is assigned to switching "input character type", but in Chromebook, the "Katakana/Hiragana" key is "Katakana/Hiragana" key.Due to the no existence, the Japanese input of Chromebook cannot switch the input character type (even if the external keyboard is connected, Chromebook ignores this key).In addition, keys that do not exist in Chromebooks such as the Delete key, or key not to Mozc (Ctrl+SP, Ctrl+Shift+SP, etc.), etc., to control Mozc from software because it is processed first on the ChromeOS side.Virtual keys are included in the above Keymap file.
After eliminating these keys, the operation was confirmed on the actual machine. The opening table is created, leaving only the key split that can be used in this way. Even if the key code is defined in the data, the key code may not be crossed to Mozc, and the key may not work. One is that the keycode is not crossed because it overlaps with the keyboard shortcut of Chromebook, and the other may not be the key to Mozc due to the application side. It was judged that there was a cause on the application side because the same key operation could be performed and some could not do the same key operation. Since MOZC does not know the app or execution environment that can handle the key correctly, it may not be accurate even if it is confirmed. The key when the key is changed to ATOK, MS-IME, and Kotorie is shown in Table 06, 07, and Table 08.
