Taro Yabe (43) has won the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Short Award for the manga "Landlord and I", and has attracted attention not only as an entertainer but also as a manga artist. The manga "My Dad" (Shinchosha), which depicts an episode with his father and picture book writer Yabe Mitsuri Yabe, has been plunged for reservations before the release date on the 17th, and a reprint is decided as soon as possible.Strangely, he went on a similar path to his father, but he said that the starting line that led to his dad was a journey away from his father.
In the fall of 2019, the same editorial team as "Landlord and I" told me, "How about something again?"
At that time, the seniors of the entertainer said that "I'll write about me next time!"I was told.
If you edit such a story, please be interested. It felt like it started from there.
In this work, I wrote about before I was born and entered elementary school. So, there are some places that are not clear, and when I draw, I sent me the picture diary that my dad was giving, saying, "It may be helpful."
My growth is spelled out in my father's painting, called "Taro Note", but when I looked at it at my current age, I felt a lot.
Naturally, at that time, I was watching my father as a dad, but I knew that I was raising my child, not just as a dad, but also as a person, and with affection.
I can see a lot of dads other than my dad, and it's natural, but I understand that I lived while having a part as a dad who wasn't a dad.
Dad has a record magical place, and even if you eat rice with your family, if you have an unusual side dish that is different from usual, you will say "wait a minute", first draw a side dish and then eat rice.was.In the meantime, the side dish that my mother made cooled down, but she was still a father who left it in the picture.
There is such a gender, so my figure is drawn there, but if you look closely, it is also your dad's diary, and your father's feelings at that time are also reflected in the picture.is.The picture is bright or dark. There was something that was transmitted.
This time, when I was drawing a manga, I remembered again when I was little, but my dad never said, "Do this."Conversely, it was said, "Do what you like."
My dad was drawing a picture book at home, so when I was little, I also painted a picture next to it.So, in the book of the childhood, I wrote, "I want to draw."
As a result, I started doing such a job now, but in fact, I felt strongly that it would be useless if I look like a dad.
What my dad often said was, "Take care of enjoying the process rather than the results," but in fact, Dad enjoyed it too much (laughs) and didn't make any work. There were places where people around me, including my family, were in trouble.
That's why I gradually became stronger in me, saying, "If you look like a father," and when I was a student, I was a "trip away from my dad."I studied and entered college (Tokyo Gakugei University), and it wouldn't be like a dad who went to comedy. It was because I thought I was going to do a little far away.
However, enjoying the process was something I felt after entering the comedy world, and the words that I was told another thing when I painted the picture, "The good picture is not the most interesting".It may have echoed deep in my heart.
Anyway, if you draw a picture similar to the real thing, it is the same as a photo. If you do that, the best photos will be the best. So, if you make things, it's not interesting if you don't have yourself. If you make something, I want you to make that kind of thing.
I became an entertainer to be a different person to leave my dad, but eventually came to the same place as my dad or put out a manga. At that time, I was very pleased.
I copied my manga without permission, stopped it with a stapler, and distributed it to the people around me (laughs). At the time of the comedy, I didn't appeal to the people around me so much, but I was really happy when I was in the manga.
He bought a lot of real books as well as staples from the copy.He put my book and sell it in my lecture, and with a generous support than Yoshimoto (laughs).
What do you do to be filial piety?indeed….I guess that I was able to draw this book.
The embarrassing parts, thanks, and complaints (laughs), because I drew everything I thought. The fact that Dad was still able to put it out while he was fine.I was able to read it.I wonder if that hits it.
Also, now I can't quite do it because of the new colona, but my dad has also been doing a workshop such as a picture -story show for children. There, I piggyback on "Landlord and I" and make something titled "Picture -story and I".
I was sometimes called by the guest, but when I was called, I would receive everything.I think it's filial piety.
Because it's my son's format, my dad doesn't hesitate (laughs), but I'm also my dad's work.Because it is the work of the work. That would be a reed.
