HENNGE Co., Ltd. said on the 13th that it will use SaaS Certification Foundation (IDaaS) "HENNGE One" to support "creating a secure environment by removing passwords". While updating HENNGE One, begin to provide a new application "HENNGE Lock" that can be authenticated by an one-time password for multiple factors.

Recently, as a way to eliminate complex ID and password management structures, single sign-on (SSO), which centrally manages ID and passwords, has attracted much attention, but in HENNGE Such as "difficult to remember the password of each service", "information disclosure, due to the reuse of simple passwords", "the load of password reset work, due to password loss", etc., the password itself points out that there is a problem. These challenges provide a "de-password world" because it is not solved by changing passwords or setting complex passwords on a regular basis.

Therefore, it is emphasized that it is useful to use other authentication units such as holding information, biological information, and not only one authentication unit, but also a combination of multiple authentications (MFA). While providing multi-factor authentication, we can create a password-free world by cooperating with client-based biological authentication such as Windows Hello, Touch ID, Face ID, which are widely used in the consumer market.

This time, HENNGE One's new feature, HENNGE Lock, will be introduced as the first bullet in a service that creates a secure environment by removing passwords.

HENNGE Lock is a virtual appliance application for authentication for multifactor authentication or a two-stage authentication process that supports iOS/Android and generates a time-based one-time password (OTP) that conforms to RFC 6238.

By making full use of the HENNGE Lock and HENNGE One, companies use user-owned smartphones and smartwatches as additional authentication elements to promote to more than 150 SaaS, such as Microsoft, Google Workspace, Box, LINE WORKS and Slack, that they can get a unified login environment without using a password.
